The main governing body for the parish is the Parish
Pastoral Council. This council is responsible for pastoral planning,
including periodic evaluation of the parish mission statement, ongoing
needs assessment, defining parish goals, setting broad strategies for
implementing those goals and evaluating the parish's success in carrying
out the Church's mission. Every five years the Council develops a
new "Parish Five-Year Plan". During the off years the Council
is responsible for monitoring the plan and revising where necessary.
The
Parish Pastoral Council consists of four Parish Commissions
each with specific goals to help implement their portion of the
five-year plan. To learn more about each commission and the ministries
that are under each of those commissions click here:

The St. Bede Parish Community
has an excellent school with gifted teachers that for more than 50 years
have educated thousands of young boys and girls in Lake County. Our
school continues to grow in numbers and as a recently constructed a new Faith Formation Center that
serves as our
educational campus for both St. Bede School students, Religious
Education students and adult education. Check out our school Web site at
St. Bede School.
Besides our excellent primary
school education we also provide an excellent Religious Education
Program for those students who cannot attend St. Bede School. Click on
Religious Education to find out more about this program.
St. Bede Community
also has an excellent adult education program for those adults who are interested in becoming Catholic or
who are Catholic and wish to receive the sacraments of Holy Eucharist, Confirmation
and/or who wish to have their Marriage blessed in the Catholic Church.
If you are interested in the faith or sacraments click on

For over 75 years, the community
has faithfully supported the operation spiritually and financially. In order for us to
continue the ministries we have shared over the years, we need
the on-going support of our parish community. Our operating budget is
controlled in an effort to keep costs down, but rising costs continue to
make it a challenge to make ends meet. Please check out our financial page
Financials
to see
our Annual Financial Report to see how the contributions are
distributed.
Through our St. Bede Parish
Community we live out our Parish Mission Statement and we pray that you
will also reach out and share with us as,
"........ a welcoming spiritual community where sacraments, education
and evangelization lead us to Jesus Christ"
